Shareholders will have recently received correspondence in respect of a meeting of the company called by shareholders for the 15 July, 2008.

The Australian Government recently introduced legislation allowing for the default option for receiving annual reports to be via a company's website. In order to reduce the costs involved in meeting its financial and other obligations in reporting to shareholders as to the status of the company, the directors have resolved to create this website: www.meridianoil.com.au to enable shareholders to receive on-line, the Annual Reports for each financial year.

The company wrote to shareholders in November 2008 advising them of this change and allowing them to elect to receive a printed copy of the reports for each financial year by mail. Printed copies of the report will only be sent to those shareholders who have elected to receive them. All other shareholders can access copies on this website, below.

The company will also be able to notify shareholders via its website of details regarding Annual General Meetings.

The 2008 Annual General Meeting is to  be held at the Extensions Room, Dougherty Community Centre, 7 Victor Street, Chatswood, NSW, 2067 on Monday the 23 February at 10:30 am (EST)
